About

I’m Artem Ukrainskiy, a software engineer and team lead with 15 years of experience: backend systems, data, performance and leading teams.

In open source I work on the performance of php-src, the PHP interpreter, and maintain php-src-bench, the benchmark tool behind that work.

These are my public engineering notes. Each post is built around measurements: what was measured, on what, how, and what the numbers say, including the cases where an idea did not work.
